Explanation

The Øresund Link (inaugurated on 1 July 2000) is a fixed combined bridge and tunnel link between Denmark and Sweden. The link consists of a tunnel between Amager and the artificial island of Peberholm, as well as the Øresund Bridge between Peberholm and Lernacken (south of Malmö) in Scania. The link consists of a motorway and a double-track railway with a total length of 15.9 km.
