1 percent
Explanation
Osteoporosis (Greek: "osteo"=bone and "poros"=porous; Danish: knogleskørhed) is a disease characterized by reduced bone mass and altered micro-architecture, which decreases bone strength. Patients with osteoporosis therefore have an increased risk of bone fractures. Osteoporosis occurs partly as an independent disease (primary osteoporosis) and partly as a consequence of other diseases (secondary osteoporosis).
